Drum and Jerrycan Blow Molding with B5403

Thick walls are B5403's home ground. A 2.6 g/10min melt flow forms heavy parisons that hold shape during the long drop into a drum mold, and 190-220 °C melt temperatures keep homogeneity across the thick section.
Cooling is the patient part: core cooling for the base chime, extended dwell for full crystallization, and no shortcuts that lock in sink marks at the handle boss. A drum that cools fast but stresses internally fails the drop test in cold weather.
That cold drop is where B5403 earns its specification: Charpy notched impact of 80 kJ/m² at -30 °C means drums survive winter loading, and FNCT of 14 hours covers the slow-crack side of chemical duty.
