SABIC HDPE P6006 is a bimodal black high density polyethylene compound classified PE100 with a minimum required strength of 10 MPa. It is designed for pressure pipe carrying drinking water, irrigation, gas distribution and industrial effluents.
With 2.25% well dispersed carbon black the resin resists UV and long-term oxidation, and its slow crack growth resistance supports the decades of service pressure networks expect.

P6006 is differentiated by its PE100 credentials: MRS 10 from long-term hydrostatic strength testing lets pipe makers reach SDR 17 and SDR 11 pressure classes with predictable margins, and the carbon black package protects above-ground installations.
For certifying a pipe series, converters combine the resin classification with hydrostatic testing at 80 °C and 20 °C on their own pipe. P6006 is the single pressure pipe grade of this portfolio, which keeps qualification, documentation and requalification simple.
MRS 10 and SDR pressure classes
Pre-dry at 80 °C if the compound picked up moisture in storage.
Melt temperature 190-220 °C on PE100 pipe lines.
Vacuum sizing with even cooling to lock in ovality and wall.
Ink jet or emboss per pipe standard; avoid deep scoring of the wall.
Pressure networks for municipal supply.
PE100 gas mains and service lines.
Pressure lines for mining and industry.
Standard valve bag for palletised shipment.
FIBC for reduced handling and waste.
Bulk delivery for continuous lines.
