SABIC HDPE F00952

HMW Blown Film Grade

Strong Film at Low Gauge

SABIC HDPE F00952 is a high molecular weight high density polyethylene copolymer for blown film. Its broad molecular weight distribution supports stable bubbles at high output while high density brings the stiffness that lets converters run thinner gauge without losing strength.

The grade carries antioxidant stabilization and prints well after corona treatment, making it a workhorse for carrier bags, liners and industrial sacks.

  • Density 0.952 g/cm³
  • MFR 0.05 g/10min (2.16 kg) / 9 g/10min (21.6 kg)
  • Recommended blow-up ratio around 4
  • Melt temperature 200-235 °C

Differentiation

Blown Film Process Window

F00952 is differentiated by its film window: the melt strength to hold a tall bubble and the drawdown to reach 15 µm class gauge. Blow-up ratio and frost line height together set the balance of stiffness, tear and opticals.

Because the resin is stiff for its density, converters use it to downgauge sacks and liners, cutting resin per bag while keeping drop performance. On multi-layer lines it is the strength layer that lets cheaper inner layers do the filling.

Blown Film Recommendations

1

Dry

Surface moisture is rarely critical; pre-dry only for very thin gauge work.

2

Extrude

Melt temperature 200-235 °C on HMW-HDPE film lines with grooved feed.

3

Blow

Set BUR around 4 with a high frost line for balanced MD and TD strength.

4

Treat

Corona treat the web to 38-42 dyn/cm for printing and lamination.
