SABIC HDPE F04660 is a film homopolymer with density 961 and a high melt flow of 46 g/10min at 21.6 kg. It produces stiff, paper-like film with a broad processing window, and blends easily with LDPE and LLDPE to tune stiffness and toughness.
The grade suits high-stiffness packaging film, coextrusion middle layers and general blown film where crisp feel matters. It is not intended for pharmaceutical or medical applications.

Values are typical and should be verified against the mill test report for the specific lot.
| Property | Value | Test method |
|---|---|---|
| Density | 961 kg/m³ | ISO 1183 |
| MFR (21.6 kg) | 46 g/10min | ISO 1133 |
| Film stiffness | High | Typical outcome |
| Moisture barrier | Good | Typical outcome |
| Blend compatibility | LDPE / LLDPE | Typical practice |
| Medical / pharma use | Not intended | Regulatory note |
F04660 is differentiated by stiffness per micron: film made from it stands up in vending cups, sleeves and envelopes, and in blends it raises modulus without the processing penalty of very high molecular weight grades.
In coextrusion it sits as the stiff middle or outer layer between sealant skins, and its broad window tolerates the recipe changes blend operations deal with daily.
Stiffness with blending flexibility
Melt temperature 190-230 °C depending on blend ratio.
Moderate BUR for crisp, flat film with balanced tear.
Trial 20-50% F04660 into LDPE / LLDPE to raise stiffness.
Corona treat for printing; verify dyne level per ink system.
Sleeves, envelopes and crisp packaging.
Stiff core between sealant skins.
Universal film with a broad window.
Standard valve bag for palletised shipment.
FIBC for reduced handling and waste.
Bulk delivery for continuous lines.
BUR, frost line and drawdown for flat, strong film.
