Thin-Wall Cap Design Basics

Cap design is a chain of small decisions that multiply across millions of units. Wall thickness sets cycle more than any other choice: every tenth of a millimetre removed cuts cooling time and resin together.
Gate design controls the flow path into the thin wall; a well-sized gate fills the skirt without jetting or hesitancy marks. Cooling follows geometry: cores carry most of the heat, so baffle-cooled cores decide the true cycle.
Resin choice enables the design. A grade like CC2056 with high flow and low warpage lets designers commit to thinner walls and tighter threads, knowing the melt will fill and the threads will gauge.
