Multi-Cavity Closure Molding with CC2056
2026-10-12 · Ascent Group Editorial
A 48-cavity cap tool is a fluid dynamics problem: every cavity must fill before any freezes. CC2056's 20 g/10min flow and narrow distribution were built for that race, filling thin cap sections without the shear degradation that wide-distribution resins suffer.
Process windows are tight but simple: melt 220-260 °C, high injection speed, brief pack only, and matched core and cavity cooling. Overpack is the classic error; it slows release, adds flash and locks stress into tamper bands.
Converters running CC2056 report thread pitch holding within tolerance across all cavities at full speed, which is what keeps scrap under one percent where cap margins live.
