Injection Molding M80064: Warpage Control

2026-10-11 · Ascent Group Editorial

Warped crate panels come from differential shrinkage, and M80064 attacks the cause. Its narrow molecular weight distribution shrinks evenly, so the remaining warpage drivers are thermal: unbalanced mold cooling and uneven pack pressure.

Run the melt at 200-250 °C and the tool at 15-60 °C with cooling channels laid symmetrically across the panel. Pack just enough to remove sink at ribs; overpack freezes stress into the panel that releases as bow after demolding.

Crate makers who log cavity pressure and cooling symmetry report flatness hold across all cavities, not just the ones nearest the sprue, which is the difference M80064 was designed to deliver.
