Crate and Closure Injection Molding with M864E

2026-10-02 · Ascent Group Editorial

Plants running both crates and closures normally juggle two resins and purge between programs. M864E's window, melt 230-275 °C and mold 32-38 °C, covers both part families, so the changeover is a color change, not a resin change.

For crates, the narrow molecular weight distribution keeps large panels flat and hinge areas tough. For closures, the same distribution gives precise threads and tamper bands that gauge consistently.

The operating benefit compounds: one inventory SKU, no purge scrap between families, and regrind from either line reprocesses cleanly at modest levels.
