Specifying BM1052 for Export Drums

2026-09-12 · Ascent Group Editorial

Export drum programs fail on paperwork more often than on resin. Buyers who qualify BM1052 should agree up front on the mill test report fields, the ESCR test method, and retest rules for lots that sit longer than a quarter in the warehouse.

Allocation is the second risk. Wide-spec blow molding grades tighten first when cracker maintenance seasons arrive. Converters that commit quarterly volumes with their supplier keep line time through tight markets, and mixed-container programs let mid-size drum shops hold both BM1052 and their bottle grades without overstocking either.

Ascent Group supports both sides: technical documents for qualification, and consolidated shipping that keeps a drum plant fed while keeping inventory lean.
